How To Choose A Great Domain For Your Niche?
Creating and choosing a domain name is very important, especially for SEO. I can say it is one of the main parts of successful in SEO. Maybe some people don’t realize about this and choose incorrect domain name.
Here are some suggestions of choosing a great domain for your niche :
- Remember to choose a domain name that contains your niche or your main keyword.
- Consider about domain TLD.
- Consider about using dashes or underscores or none of them.
Okay, I will give a further explanation about above suggestions with the assumption that you already find your niche. For example I have a niche internet marketing Indonesia.
- Your domain must be contains keyword internet marketing Indonesia.
- Prefer to use .com than .net, .info, .biz, etc. If the .com already use by another people than use .net, .info, .biz, etc.
- Internetmarketingindonesia.com > internet-marketing-indonesia.com > internet_marketing_indonesia.com
If you push to not use dashes or underscore, you can also use a misspelled type for your domain. For example internetmarketingindonesi.com, internetmarketingindonesian.com.

Nice tips. But, I would argue this point:
“If the .com already use by another people than use .net, .info, .biz, etc.”
If the .com is version of the keyword rich domain and it’s variations that you are targeting is already registered by somebody else, approach he/she who owns it. (If it is really that good, chances are very slim that the dotcom name is still available. As a matter of fact, if it is still available, you have to be more cautious. How come after these years nobody hasn’t picked it? Are you just lucky or what?).
Sometimes you can get the keyword matching domain for a reasonable price. They may be much higher than than the reg fee, but it’s worth the investment. Nothing can’t hurt you more than developing a good site on a poor or spammy sounding domain name.
