For newbie (someone who just start to know and learn about internet marketing), Search Engine Optimization or call SEO maybe sounds like an unusual thing. Search Engine Optimization is a process of choosing the most appropriate targeted keyword phrases related to your site and ensuring that this ranks your site highly in search engines so that when someone searches for specific phrases it returns your site on tops.
There are 2 kinds of SEO activities:
- On-Page Optimization.
- Off-Page optimization.
For On-Page Optimization, you can READ HERE. Now, let’s we talk about Off-Page Optimization. Off-Page Optimization is an activity that we do to our site to make Search Engine robot think that our site is popular than other site. It is also call Link Popularity.
The major component of Off-Page Optimization is through Back Links. Back Links are incoming links to a website or web page. In the search engine optimization (SEO) world, the number of back links is one indication of the popularity or importance of that website or page (though other measures, such as Page Rank, are likely to be more important).
There are 2 types of back links:
- One Way Link Back. Its mean that other people give their link to our website, but we don’t give a back link to them. It is usually happen when our site has a good reputation and has interesting information for them.
- Link Exchange / Link Partners. It is usually do for a new website.
Both of them are good but the best one is if your website gets One Way Link Back from other site.
If you do Link Exchange, you must be careful. Here are some tips to do Link Exchange:
- Choose other website that has the same topic with yours. For example if you have a website about wedding, it is better that you make a link exchange with website about cake, ring, diamond, etc.
- Choose website that have higher Page Rank. To know about other website Page Rank, you can download Google Toolbar (http://toolbar.google.com). If you can get a link from them, it will make your website become popular on search engine robot faster than others.
Page Rank 0 -> Go Away!
Page rank 1 -> Can be consider for newbie
Page Rank 2 -> OK
Page Rank 3 -> Good
Page Rank 4 -> Very Good
Page Rank 5 -> Excellent
Page Rank 6-9 -> Outstanding
- Pay attention on where your link will be added. You must reject if your link is on the page that have 0 (zero) Page rank.
- Count how many links on the page where your link will be added. Try not to give a link to other website that has more than 50 link partners on the same page.
- Use anchor text, usually our main keyword to be as link.
Read and practice it, I can guarantee you will get a better rank on the search engine than others.

It seems your busby seo test page going better day after day. Hope it right. By the way, i have put your blog’s link to 900++ pages in my site. Even most of them have zero page rank…wakakaka…:D.
