Amazon Associates Alerts-Be Aware!

Hello Internet Marketing Indonesia, I just want to drop important news for you. I just knew it and I want to share it now with all of you. Have you heard about Amazon? I think 75% of you know about it. And have you join the associates? I think some of you have join it.

If you are join the associate, please be careful because on May 1, 2009 Amazon forbid all the associates to promote Amazon’s products via paid search traffic such as Google Adwords, YSM, MSN Adcenter and etc. Keyword bidding also be forbidden.

This is an anouncement from Amazon :

As of May 1, 2009, Associates will not be paid referral fees for paid search traffic. Also, in connection with this change, as of May 1, 2009, Amazon will no longer make data feeds available to Associates for the purpose of sending users to the Amazon websites in the US or Canada via paid search.

This change applies only to the Associates programs in North America. If you are conducting paid search activities in connection with one of Amazon’s Associates Programs outside of the US and Canada, please refer to the applicable country’s Associates Program Operating Agreement for relevant terms and conditions.

So, I think this is the best time for you to try to make your own Amazon Store and use organic traffic for your store. It is cheaper and highly recommended!
